Marinship Development Interest served as a major subcontractor for Phase 1 of the Bay Corridor Transmission and Distribution project led by the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC).

Our teams provided partial concrete services as well as traffic control equipment and flaggers for paving related work, in addition to the installation of  electrical duct banks, utility vaults, conductors and force mains.
Marinship also furnished and installed all the required labor, equipment, and materials to excavate and install precast concrete electrical vaults.

The scope of work also included delivering:

  • Fluidized Thermal Backfill
  • Concrete Base and Paving
  • Furnishing and Setting of Communication, Standard Power and Large Power Vaults

As the SFPUC seeks to build a high voltage transmission and distribution system to improve quality of life within the Southeast portion of the City, Marinship is proud to lend our expertise to help reduce costs for new electric service customers and support the City’s goal to minimize greenhouse gas emissions. We were required to provide 30% local workforce.
